Something that I was shocked to discover, was how
loosely the term hand-made is used by businesses.
Perhaps I am just naive, but I always thought that a
hand-made product was made entirely by human
hands. But it seems that the term is also used in
productions that involve hand operated machinery, or
items that are assembled by hand.
I suppose that nowadays mass production is so
advanced and technology has come such a long way,
that many products are made almost entirely by robots
and computers. So perhaps any human involvement is
worth shouting about!
Nevertheless, when I say my products are hand-made,
what I mean is that they were made by MY hands (and
I’ve got the blisters to prove it!)
